As summer has burned out we’re left with early autumn hues and textures. I get most of my inspiration from my garden and the fields in which I walk the dog and over the past week I have started and completed my first autumnal painting.
I can’t remember how many layers of acrylic it took. I know I did a lot of scratching through and used my palette knife a lot!
I’m pleased with the results on this piece. Now to decide if I keep it or put it up for sale, that’s always a sign I’m happy with it and it’s finished.
